Maltby Street

Bea's Diner open Saturdays from 9 AM until we run out!
Helena was raving about her trip to America--especially the amazing pancakes and breakfast. I was bemoaning the lack of a place that served the real deal: stacks of blueberry pancakes, sides of streaky bacon, thick cut french toast with bananas and caramelized nuts, and then bravo: Bea's Diner is born. Helena's the smart-alecky waitress with a heart of gold, and I'm the grumpy short order cook that won't take no substitutions.
Menu is short: Pancakes, French Toast, and Poached Eggs. But done in all the great ways it can be done. New menu is here!
Maltby Street Market is the Food Market for Londoners, and we're happy to be a part of it. Open Saturdays from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. we bring our game on and cover our market stall in cupcakes, loaf cakes, cookies, scones, marshmallows, meringues, brownies, duffins, and of course, can't have cake without a hot cuppa tea! Hopefully soon we'll be able to host pop-up dinners with our chef friends, cooking classes, and the works but for now, it's a good Saturday fix for sugar and a good afternoon fix for savoury treats.

Bea's of Bloomsbury at Maltby Street Market
Arch 76, Druid Street
London SE1 2HQ
Saturdays 9 a.m. to close
Directions from London Bridge Station (10 minute walk): Head East on Tooley Street, turn right on Druid Street, which curves a bit left, then keep walking until you smell cake.
Malty Street is also home to our pop-up movies nights. In the spirit of all things Americana, Beas of Bloomsbury @MaltbyStreet is hosting block party style cinema screenings throughout the year. It's a way to relive Bea's old neighourhood days of when people would put up a bedsheet, get out the old projector, and watch movies while tables of chilli, popcorn, and chilli cheese hot dogs were waiting to be devoured.
